Why NexSMS Does Not Support China Numbers

NexSMS does not provide mainland China +86 numbers. Every number we list is supplied under direct authorization from our partners, and Chinese mobile numbers are issued under real-name registration and bound to their owner's legal identity, so they cannot be offered compliantly.

Why China numbers are out of scope

NexSMS is a compliance-first SMS verification platform. Every country number we list comes directly from a contracted number partner that authorizes its use, so each range is traceable and verifiable rather than sourced from anonymous personal SIMs or grey-market resellers. That single rule decides which countries we can list and which we cannot. Mainland China falls into the second group: not because it is technically impossible, but because it cannot meet our basic requirements for authorized, compliant number supply. This page therefore offers no numbers, only the reason.

Compliance first

NexSMS operates as a compliant platform and only lists numbers whose origin can be stated and verified.

Direct partner authorization

Every number on the platform is supplied under direct authorization from a contracted partner, never resold personal SIMs.

Real-name registration

China mobile numbers must be registered with genuine identity documents and stay bound to their owner.

So we do not list them

A real-name number cannot be transferred, rented or used to receive codes for someone else, and we do not work around that.

What real-name registration means

Mainland China enforces strict real-name registration for mobile numbers. Getting a SIM requires submitting genuine identity documents, each number is bound one-to-one to its registered owner, that owner is accountable for everything done with the number, and transferring, renting or sharing it with someone else is not permitted. Any China SMS verification service therefore comes down to using someone else's real-name number to receive codes on behalf of a third party, which conflicts with the real-name rules and with our requirement that every number be directly authorized by the partner supplying it. NexSMS does not buy, list or otherwise work around this: we do not provide mainland China numbers, including codes for +86-only domestic apps such as WeChat, Alipay and Douyin. If you see a provider claiming otherwise, check where its numbers come from before relying on it.

Bound to an identity

A SIM is issued against real identity documents, and the registered owner remains accountable for how the number is used.

No transfer or sharing

Renting, transferring or lending a real-name number, including receiving codes for a third party, is not permitted.

No compliant supply

That leaves no China numbers a partner could lawfully authorize for us to resell, so we neither buy nor list them.

What you can do instead

Verify international platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Google and OpenAI using any of the countries NexSMS does support
Check live availability and pricing per country on the country directory or pricing page before choosing a number origin
For a mainland China number, register one through an official carrier with your own identity documents and receive the codes yourself
If you need to confirm whether a specific country is available for a compliant use case, contact us before you commit

China Numbers FAQ

Does NexSMS support mainland China (+86) SMS verification?

No. NexSMS does not provide mainland China numbers and cannot receive codes for +86-only apps such as WeChat, Alipay or Douyin. This is a standing compliance decision, not a temporary stock shortage.

Why can China numbers not be offered?

Chinese mobile numbers are issued under real-name registration and bound to the identity documents of their owner, who may not transfer, rent or share them. NexSMS also requires every number to be directly authorized by the partner supplying it. China numbers cannot satisfy both conditions, so we leave them out.

Will China numbers be added later?

Not under the current real-name rules. If regulation changes and a lawfully authorized supply becomes available, we will reassess and announce it on the site. Until then, this page is the accurate answer.

What can I use NexSMS for instead?

NexSMS provides real carrier numbers across the countries listed in our directory, with real-time web receiving and API access for signup verification, 2FA and batch testing. Browse the country directory or the pricing page to see what is currently supported.
